Ask any collector of German shotguns about Charles Daly and you will soon know that Daly guns were of the highest quality.  None are more sought after than the “Lindner Daly”, built by Heinrich August Lindner until about 1915.  THIS EXAMPLE, SN1691 BUILT AROUND 1908, IS VERY SPECIAL, BEING A 12GA. GUN WEIGHING A SCANT 5LBS. 8OZ….MUCH LIGHER THAN MOST 28GA., 20GA., OR 16GA. GUNS!  IF YOU KNOW HOW DEADLY A 12GA. LIGHT LOAD CAN BE ON GAME, WITH A VERY SHORT SHOT STRING, AND HOW PLEASANT IT IS TO CARRY 5 1/2LBS. OVER HILL AND DALE, YOU CAN RECOGNIZE WHY THIS PRUSSIAN DALY IS SO SPECIAL.  The sculpted frame and breech balls, the detailed engraving, the scalloped action, the perfect wood to metal fit, the classic drop points with superb checkering and gorgeous French walnut stock come together to define a special gun.  Even the safety button is a work of art!  THE WOOD, BARRELS, ACTION, AND TRIGGER GUARD REMAIN IN FACTORY ORIGINAL, UNTOUCHED CONDITION, the action still showing 50% fading factory case color, clear sharp English scroll engraving, perfect screws, and elegant sculpting.  The 26” KRUPP STEEL barrels retain 92% of their original blue, bores are mirror shiny, lettering and rib matting sharp as new, dolls head rib extension perfectly mated to the action, choked Cyl/LM with 2 ¾” chambers, ribs are tight, and they fit tight on the hinge pin and breech face.  This Daly is a VFI CERTIFIED GUN WITH A 90 DAY MECHANICAL WARRANTY, the action and forend iron having been stripped to the smallest part, all Ultrasonic cleaned, each part inspected for function and integrity, lubricated and reassembled (a $375 service in our shop!  WE LEFT THIS LINDNER DALY IN ORIGINAL CONDITION.  IF YOU NEED SOME CHANGES TO THE GUN, WE CAN DO THEM HERE IN OUR GUNSMITH SHOP WITH NO WAITING IN LINE.  YOU MAY WANT THE BARRELS RUST BLUED, A FINE LEATHER PAD ADDED, THE STOCK BENT TO YOUR NEEDS, ALL AT A REASONABLE PRICE.  The Prussian Daly guns are an extremely good value…one of the finest made guns money can buy, and we have priced this gun to be affordable to most any gunner that wants to chase birds and clays with a little romance and a lot of class!  Thanks for looking.
