perfect wood-to-metal fit, the hand-filed components of the action melt
together without flaw, and of course, mechanical perfection with crisp

factory finishes remaining and showing no signs of being shot more than a few
times. The barrels are tight as new on
the hinge pin and breech face, the ejectors strong and timed, triggers crisp,
and the engraving still sharp as new. The
engraving is signed by V. Alberdi, a well-known master engraver. Spanish guns are rarely signed. Arrieta is among the finest Spanish made
shotguns produced in the true Basque traditions. Michael McIntosh praises Arrieta in his book
"Best Guns" and in fact carried his Arrieta afield as much as any
other gun he owned. The Basque makers
were famous for making quality "copies" of other guns like the
Holland and Holland Royal Deluxe that these Arrietas mimic. Besides the engraving, the Model 931 is a true clone with H
